Not a perfect translation of the original Swedish but as good as i can do it. There will be more of these in the future so let me know any old Swedish Punk, Oi!, Rock or RAC song you would like translated and i'll se what i can do.
Dedicated to Kalle Dussin who was a Swedish king and among many things fought to keep Sweden free from the Russina empire.
The eighteen year old king, he went into war
A war that would last through the remainder of his life
He fought against the Russians and all of their flaws
He fought for the Swedish people until the day he was shot dead
He was a hero
He fought for our land
He fought for our freedom
Karl VII was his name
Now you're tryin to make us turn on our land
But as proud Karoliners we stand to the last man
We pay tribute to this hero, who never backed from a fight
We pay tribute to Karl VII, a hero of his time
He was a hero
He fought for our land
He fought for our freedom
Karl VII was his name
He was a hero, he was a hero, he was a hero
That fought for our land
He was a hero, he was a hero, he was a hero
That fought for our land
(01.) Off topic: It's so incredible damn ridiculous... this band is in the eyes of the german AFA/ARA scenery and their loutspeakers like "OiRE SZENE" and such stupid nutjobs one of the most worst and mean and evil european Nazi Rock bands around... what a big bunch of brainfucked assholes!!!
SvaraRadera(02.) Not so much off topic: Damn great band, I really love this group!!!
(03.) Back to the topic: What about some Vikingrock? Would be cool if you could do some translations of the Ultima Thule lyrics "Stolt och stark" and "Varsang". Pretty sure in the future more will come to my mind. :-)
PS: Please add "Vikingablot" by Njord to my wishlist as well as Njord's "För alltid Patriot". Okay, then that's it for now... be careful what you ask for ;-) ...
RaderaI have heard such things and cant really see why except for one shady compilation and a couple of shady gigs back in the days. What people dont grasp and probably never will is the whole Stockholm Skin thing. It's way to complicated to go into here and not even i know the folks on a personal level but most of the old "nazi-bands" from Sweden where more of a patriotic and liberal mindset. Here in Sweden they have been washed clean of the ugly stamp but not in any way by crawling to the cross but more the fact that people have come to the realisation that they have never made a single racial lyric or even been outspoken politically. I know a couple of old AFA crusts that listen to them these days and even bought their re-issie. Good music for good people lets just leave it at that.
RaderaEven though viking-rock isnt really my thing i will translate them out of pure boredom that i am facing this weekend when msot people seem to have fleed town.
RaderaGood music for good people!!! Good word, yeahr, let us stick with it!!! THX for the damn prompt translations!!!
